They get the best of both worlds 🥰
Neighbours who live on a fast growing development in Gedling borough have shared how they love having the best of both worlds living between the city and countryside. As the Rivendell development at Teal Close progresses with the second phase of 353-home currently underway, residents have spoken out about how the community has shaped up.
So far a number of residents have moved into their properties over the last couple of years, and a primary school and a care home have been completed, as well as a brand new Aldi and a Birds Bakery have opened on the site. In 2022, it was reported that neighbours had ‘no complaints’ that more homes were being added to the development and that seems to be the case still.David and Donna Wilson moved to Teal Close six months ago. Mr Wilson said: “We’ve been here for six months and we love it.
Another resident Tiffany Martin, who runs a pub, moved to the new development three years ago. She spoke on how she thinks plans for the development to have a pub would be positive. The 35-year-old said: “I think it would be a chance for people to meet each other. It’s always good to have a pub around the corner.Carrie Ball, 34, said: “I love it here - everyone is very welcoming. I think it’s a lovely little area. You’ve got the retail park, the Birds and the Aldi which is nice.
