Four animals, a dog and three cats, suffering from severe neglect and abandonment arrived at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County within hours of each other.
Trout, a 2-year-old pit bull, was brought to the shelter after being found running loose with a severe tail injury.
The top layer of skin, tissue, and tailbone were removed from Trout’s tail leaving an exposed, deep, and bloody wound. Three cats, ranging from 2 to 5 years old, were brought to the shelter by Federal Way Animal Control after being discovered inside feces-caked crates inside of three close large garbage bags discarded outside the Federal Way Community Center.
