Grab your gear: All three NCIS teams have assembled in the first look images for January's epic three-episode crossover event.
The casts of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, and NCIS: Hawai'i unite for the first time in a series of preview images for the franchise's three-show crossover event storyline. The franchise began in 2003 with the original NCIS, which was itself a spinoff of the series JAG. It would later produce a total of three spinoffs, two of which are still on the air.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As revealed by EW, a number of images from the previously-announced NCIS crossover event have been released, showcasing the casts of all three shows as they unite for the first time in the franchise's near-20-year history. Each show's respective NCIS team stands together for a special occasion in Washington, D.C. that ends in tragedy.
With the agents teaming up for one personal case, the crossover will be the first time that many of the show's cast members have shared the screen, including the NCIS team's new leader, Alden Parker . Alongside the new photos, various cast members opened up about the large-scale event to emphasize their excitement about the monumental story.
NCIS has been one of the most successful police procedural series of the 21st century, with the main series having enjoyed continued success across 444 currently aired episodes. While key cast members have come and gone, NCIS has maintained its audience's interest and expanded into new frontiers, allowing viewers to become acquainted with new characters in new settings.
