Okay, so now that I have your attention, let's get into what this show is all about: Zoey , is just your typical, type-A computer coder living in San Fransisco until a ~mysterious~ MRI accident leaves her with the ability to read other people's thoughts. But she can't just read other people's thoughts in a boring way—this isn't regular ol' telepathy! Instead, the people around her start expressing their innermost emotions and desires to Zoey via song.
Of course, this not-so-casual turn of events causes some issues for Zoey, who besides initially questioning her sanity , now has to deal with knowledge of her boss' sexual frustration and finding out that her best friend, played by Skylar Astin, is in love with her. At first, there's a lot of this:But then Zoey starts to realize that hearing the desires of the people around her might not be such a bad thing after all...
