We're currently in between weather systems. The one that brought rainy weather Wednesday has moved over into East Texas. Meanwhile, another disturbance in West Texas will contribute to storm chances to our west today.
Most of today will be warm and muggy with low storm chances. An isolated storm or two may develop later today to the northwest of DFW. Some hail and gusty winds are possible. However, the overall coverage will be quite low. For Friday, a few storms are possible across the area, but the coverage of rain will be spotty and most of the time will be dry. It will remain quite warm and muggy.
Rain chances will become high this weekend as another storm system moves into Texas. Expect periods of rain both Saturday and Sunday, with the highest coverage favoring areas west of I-35. It won't be raining all the time, but enough rain is possible that you should have a"plan b" in place if you have outdoor plans. Severe storms are not expected, but some heavy rain is possible that could lead to flooding issues.
