COLUMBUS, Ohio —Navy SEALs parachuted from a plane to the NVMM — a first according to organizers — and SEALs demonstrated the skills of their 'Frog Dog' K9 partners., a nonprofit that helps the families of SEALs with academic and specialized help for their kids.
SEALKIDS was started in 2011 after Extortion 17, a Chinook helicopter, experienced mechanical issues while flying through Afghanistan. A Taliban fighter shot the struggling helicopter out of the sky with an RPG, killing all aboard.In 2022, the organization helped 381 Naval Special Warfare children find success in school. So far this year, SEALKIDS says 79% of its grants went to children with one or more diagnosed learning disabilities.
