One of Hackett’s first bosses, former Stanford and current Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens, expects an effective opening speech by Hackett. “I don’t know what it’s going to be, but I guarantee you this: They will buy in,” Wheatley said. “The energy will be there. It will be a very informative, opening speech. It will be a very, very powerful and energetic speech. And last but not least, the guys that want to win will lock in and gravitate toward him.”
