San Diego State scheduled to get campus visits from two scoring guards this week
San Diego State recently got a commitment from Seattle University transfer guard Darrion Trammell, whom analytics firm Synergy Basketball ranked fifth in all of Division I last season at scoring off the pick and roll.Last season it would have been 6-foot-10 senior Nathan Mensah. Next season, it might be Nathan Mensah as well.
The most logical solution would be Mission Hills High alum Warren Washington, a 7-footer who averaged 10.5 points and 6.6 rebounds for Nevada and has two years of eligibility remaining. He included SDSU on an initial list of seven schools but appears to have grown tired of waiting. He reportedly is now focusing on four — Texas A&M, Marquette, Notre Dame and Arizona State — and will start taking campus visits.
Amoaku said he doesn’t expect it to take that long, but he also acknowledged Mensah is a “deep thinker” and not impulsive.
