Jesper Lindstrom joined Napoli last week from Eintracht Frankfurt
New Napoli signing Jesper Lindstrom has explained why he decided to turn down Liverpool in order to join the Italian giants.
Lindstrom joined Eintracht in the summer of 2021 from Danish champions Brondby IF. In his first season, the 23-year-old played 39 competitive games for Frankfurt, scoring five goals and setting up nine more. Speaking via Football Italia, he said: "It was Liverpool, and I am a Liverpool supporter, so it would’ve been a madly fascinating experience, but would it have been an intelligent move?
"This is why I think Napoli represents a good change. It is one of the best clubs in the world, and they said I will have many opportunities to play."
