Red Bank's 'Broadwalk' will include a new community tent where visitors can dine on food from area restaurants.
The outdoor dining scene on Broad Street in Red Bank. The city closed streets to traffic to allow restaurants to provide outdoor dining during the COVID-19 pandemic. For the fourth consecutive year, Red Bank will see its downtown streets transform into a “Broadwalk” filled with music and outdoor dining options. And this year, officials plan to enhance the experience with a new community tent.
“It serves two very important functions: first, it attracts people from out of town to come spend time in Red Bank. Not only do those people eat in our restaurants, they are shopping at our other stores as well. It also provides a meeting space for our community members to see each other face to face and reconnect as neighbors,” he said.
People can order food from any restaurant in downtown Red Bank and eat it under the Broadwalk’s community tent , according to Bob Zuckerman, executive director of, a nonprofit formed in 1991 that manages the borough’s special improvement district.
