Joe Dubuque takes over for Chris Ayres, who left to become the head coach at Stanford.
“Coach Dubuque has already dedicated so many years to this program to get it to where it is today, and I am so glad that he has decided to commit even more time and effort in continuing to strive for greatness,” said Glory in the statement. “Without him I personally wouldn’t have been able to achieve my goals, and I know the same can be said about the goals of the program.”
Ayres left for Stanford last week, having accomplished almost everything he set out to when he arrived at Princeton, also saying he thought the program would thrive under new leadership. He gave Dubuque his blessing as his successor. “It’s not for me to decide, but there’s two people here who are both amazing.” said Ayres of Dubuque and Gray. “I feel good about what I’m leaving behind. Things are set up organizationally for someone to take over.”
