Alarmed by a spike in antisemitic incidents, a bipartisan group of House members led by New Jersey Rep. Josh Gottheimer introduced legislation Friday to advance education about the Holocaust.
The goal was to teach about the murder of six million Jews and millions of others by the Nazis during World War II as fewer first-hand witnesses to the atrocity remain alive and a new generation of Americans have little knowledge about what really happened.
