Addressed to “my dear Katie”, believed to be the wife of stamp dealer Oswald Marsh, it was written by pal Christabel Mennell while she was on holiday in Bath. She says she felt “quite ashamed of myself after saying what I did”, and was “miserable here with a very heavy cold”.
