Firefighters who were called to an address in Bampton have found a dead body. The force has not confirmed whether the fire is being treated as an arson.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘Police were called by the fire brigade to attend a report of a shed fire in Bampton.‘Police are on scene investigating at this time.Firefighters were called to the scene on Friday evening
There was a road closure in both directions on Friday evening between Cove Hill in Cove and the Black Cat junction in Bampton, which remained in force into Saturday while police continued to investigate.
