NIPSA members are set to strike following 'insulting pay offer'
NIPSA members working at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museums in Cultra, are set to take strike action on St Patrick's Day.
"It's important to remember that their working conditions are an essential part of your museum experience. The museum has informed staff that it won't be able to open this Friday due to the proposed strike action by our members. NIPSA has urged the public to support the members as they take this action and to show solidarity with them. The union hopes that the government will come to the negotiating table with a fair and reasonable offer.
“Gushing statements about the reawakening of the museum are beyond crass. Museum bosses need to wake up to the effect of low pay on those who staff their facilities.
