The victim was with three friends when he was attacked
The 33-year-old was walking with three friends - two men and a woman - in the early hours of this morning when he was attacked.
Cops are investigating the attack, which they are treating as attempted murder, and are urging any possible witnesses to help. "At this time, we are not sure whether the suspect returned to the vehicle or not so if you saw anyone running from the street then please contact police.
