Our thoughts are with Sue's loved ones
A loving daughter has paid tribute to her mother who 'could make anyone smile' after she died suddenly earlier this month. Sue Brookes, who was 70 when she died on September 16, "lit up the room wherever she went", her daughter Georgina Coy said.
Sue, who was born in Derby, suffered from heart problems in later life and, as well as her daughter Georgina, leaves behind her adopted son Bill. Remembering her mum, Georgina said: "She was the life and soul of a party. She lit up the room wherever she went. "It wasn't always easy for her, she had a hard upbringing. Since she's been gone everyone has been saying how I saved her. When she had me 34 years ago it gave her life a purpose. But in reality I think she saved me just as much.
