Ms Gibson stated McVey"charged" up to her and struck her with a metal object to the face, head and back.McVey is on trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court accused of assaulting Ms Gibson to her injury and permanent disfigurement.The charge states McVey, of the city's Barmulloch, struck Ms Gibson on the head and body with a screwdriver.She faces a further charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the same time and place.
"I tried to push her away but I felt a sharp object so I covered my face and I could feel blood pouring from my head."She stated that she suffered injuries to her cheek, back and forehead.The witness however said that she saw McVey put something in her bag.
