Mueller finds no conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign
The special counsel punted on the question of whether President Trump committed obstruction of justice, leaving that matter to Barr, who was sworn in as attorney general in February. “While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him,” Mueller wrote, according to Barr’s letter. The attorney general said there was not enough evidence to conclude that the president had obstructed justice.
That decision drew an immediate response from Democrats. “In light of the very concerning discrepancies and final decision making at the Justice Department following the Special Counsel report, where Mueller did not exonerate the president,” tweeted Jerrold Nadler, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, “we will be calling Attorney General Barr to testify before @HouseJudiciary in the near future.

Donald Trump Jr., whose infamous meeting inside Trump Tower helped fuel suspicions that there was a conspiracy between his father’s campaign and Russian government, wielded Barr’s letter as a weapon against media organizations.
Barr’s summary of the investigation makes no mention of Trump’s business ties to Russia, where the president pursued a plan for a luxury skyscraper while running for office. It remains unclear whether Mueller’s full report offers greater insight into the plan. In previously filed
