‘Mrs. Davis’: Betty Gilpin & Jake McDorman Prepare To Battle An All Powerful AI In New Trailer For Damon Lindelof’s Peacock Series
Betty Gilpin is on a mission to destroy an all-powerful artificial intelligence in the first trailer for Peacock’s upcoming seriesThe trailer, released Tuesday, sees Gilpin’s Simone receive word that she is the only person who might stand a chance against Mrs. Davis. Simone is told that Mrs. Davis is “all knowing and all powerful. She not only knows you’re coming for her, but she wants you to.”
“Then I better get going,” Simone replies, setting out for battle. Along the way, she runs into Wiley , her rebellious ex, who also has a personal vendetta against the algorithm. He introduces her to the Resistance, which is willing to help her destroy Mrs. Davis.is described as “an exploration of faith versus technology — an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions.
The series will premiere with four episodes April 20. The remaining four episodes will debut weekly on Thursdays.
