The tribute event to the trans teen is one of many happening up and down the country
Mourners have gathered in Aberdeen to hold a vigil in memory of allegedly murdered teenager Brianna Ghey. Dozens stood outside Marischal College on Saturday, February 18, to pay their respects to the 16-year-old, who tragically died last weekend.
The Aberdeen gathering was the third to be held in Scotland after events took place in Edinburgh and Glasgow earlier this week. Images show residents gathering in the Granite City to light candles in Brianna's memory. A Facebook event page for the vigil stated: "Brianna Ghey was a 16-year-old trans girl whose life was taken last week in Warrington. Like many, we are devastated by this loss and are thinking of her loved ones, and the local LGBT+ community, at this time."
