Mason Mount is out of contract in 2024 and talks over a new deal have stalled. He's 'dropped the clearest signal yet' he will leave Chelsea.
Mount ‘drops clearest signal’ he will leave Chelsea for £70m as Liverpool in ‘pole position’Mason Mount has reportedly ‘dropped the clearest signal yet’ he will leave Chelsea this summer, with Liverpool in ‘pole position’ to secure his £70m transfer.
Mount is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer of 2024 and talks over a new deal have stalled with the England international demanding pay parity with top earners like Raheem Sterling and Reece James. The 24-year-old currently earns around £80,000 per week at Stamford Bridge, and wants upwards of £200,000 per week to remain beyond this summer.
It’s claimed Liverpol are in ‘pole position’ to sign Mount should he leave west London this summer, though Manchester United are also thought to be keeping tabs on his situation. It’s claimed Todd Boehly and Clearlake are willing to sell Mount if they can’t come to an agreement over a new deal, and it’s believed a fee of around £70m would be enough to see him leave the club.
