A motorcyclist killed in a crash Sunday morning on Highway 4 in Martinez has been identified.
The California Highway Patrol said its preliminary investigation indicated Apodaca encountered some debris in the roadway. The CHP has not said what the debris was.
It has still not been determined if Apodaca struck the debris or if he lost control trying to avoid it, the CHP said.The CHP investigation is continuing. Anyone who witnessed the crash or the events leading up to it is asked to contact the CHP Contra Costa office in Martinez at
