Motorcyclist in Redwood City dies after car crash
A motorcyclist heading northbound on Highway 101 south of State Route 92 late Saturday night in the Redwood City area crashed into a Toyota sedan and died, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene around 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, according to officials. Traffic was temporarily diverted to State Route 92 until lanes on Highway 101 reopened, CHP spokesperson Art Montiel said. The identity of the victim will be released after the next of kin are notified. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
