Emergency services were called to the scene on Ferry Road Drive in Edinburgh at around 1.45pm on Thursday with a 24-year-old man rushed to hospital.
A police man hunt has been launched to trace the occupants of a car who fled the scene after leaving a motorcyclist seriously injured in Edinburgh following a 'hit and run' crash. The 24-year-old rider was knocked down by a black Fiat motor which ended up wedged between parked cars and a hedge on Ferry Road Drive on Thursday afternoon.
His current condition is not known. Emergency services, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, remain at the scene with the road closed off to allow for a full accident investigation to take place. A statement from Police Scotland said: “We were called around 1.45pm on Thursday, 28 July, to a report of crash involving a car and a motorbike in the Ferry Road Drive area of Edinburgh.
