Last week, members of the group met with San Francisco's District Attorney Brooke Jenkins to have a discussion about everything from treatment to ending the open-air drug market, including the DA's latest efforts to crack down on the dealers.

"I think deep down each of us individually is a fighter," said Terry Kremlacek, referring to members of the nonprofit,. Her son is battling an addiction to fentanyl on the streets of the Tenderloin, where Terry goes in search of him. "It's not something I love to do. I live in Marin and I have to psyche myself up to come here," she said.

Their personal stories and passion for change are capturing the attention of those in power. Last week they met with San Francisco's District Attorney, Brooke Jenkins.
