A woman was arrested on Friday after allegedly attacking a mother and son with a boxcutter, D.C. Police said.
Just after 7:30 a.m., D.C. Police officers responded to the 900 block of Sixth Street, Southwest for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located a woman suffering from multiple stab and laceration wounds to her body, officials explained.

The woman who allegedly stabbed the mother and son, later identified as 43-year-old Lateasa Hill, fled the scene. Officers located Hill a short distance away and arrested her for the incident. The mother was transported to the hospital for treatment. She is in stable condition, police said. The boy was treated at the scene.
