Piers Morgan gives £1k to charity after losing bet to Gary Neville as Man United beat Arsenal MUFC AFC
Piers Morgan has said he is ‘happy’ to have lost his bet with Gary Neville, as the Arsenal fan donated £1,000 to charity after Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United.would claim victory at Old Trafford, Morgan conceded defeat to Red Devils legend Neville after raising the stakes with a big-money bet on the result.
But it wasn’t just an Arsenal loss that the Talk TV host had to endure, with the outspoken Gooner having to pay the forfeit for a bet he made with Old Trafford legend Neville before the match. After stating the Gunners should sign West Ham captain Declan Rice to challenge for the Premier League title before transfer deadline day, Morgan challenged Neville after the United legend said Arsenal would ‘get done at Old Trafford’.
“Fancy a £1000 bet to charity on that, T-Bag?” Morgan proposed, which the popular pundit duly accepted.: “I felt supremely over confident, which is often my problem.” When Breakfast co-host and Tottenham Hotspur fan Jamie O’Hara joked that it was only a grand, Morgan laughed: “Well I was thinking he probably hasn’t got much left, I wanted to go easy on him!”
