The course was a double loop and included a four-person relay, half marathon (single loop) and the 50th anniversary YMCA Harrisburg Marathon. It started and ended on City Island.
Luke Termorshuizen, of Annapolis, Maryland, was the winner of Sunday’s 50th YMCA Harrisburg Marathon.
Elizabeth Burch of Bethesda, Maryland, was the first female finisher. Burch, 43, was 54th overall with a time of 3:13:36.89. The Harrisburg event has the distinction of being one of a handful of marathons to successfully retain Boston Qualifier status through the COVID-19 pandemic and has sent hundreds of runners to this prestigious race over the years.
