All eyes are on Donald Trump’s historic arraignment in Manhattan this week. But there’s a reported development in the Mar-a-Lago documents case that might be as significant. (via Deadline: Legal Blog)
Investigators now suspect, based on witness statements, security camera footage, and other documentary evidence, that boxes including classified material were moved from a Mar-a-Lago storage area after the subpoena was served, and that Trump personally examined at least some of those boxes, these people said.
Neither MSNBC nor NBC News has confirmed this reporting. But if true, it would be unfortunate news for the former president. Obviously, no one ever wants to be criminally investigated, much less have investigators amass increasingly damning evidence of one's guilt.
