Not good news
Unsettled conditions are expected for Lancashire and many other parts of the UK this weekend, according to the Met Office.
Temperatures remain unseasonably cool with highs of 15C on Saturday and 17C on Sunday. The warmer weather is not expected to return to Lancashire until next Thursday when mercury levels rise to 24C.A flood alert remains in force for the Wyre estuary from Fleetwood and Knott End to Little Eccleston. It follows high spring tides and strong winds overnight between Thursday and Friday.
Elsewhere, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind in parts of England and Wales from 6am on Saturday until 9pm the same day. Gusts of up to 65mph are set to batter coasts as ferry and rail passengers are warned of cancellations and delays. A separate yellow weather warning for rain has also been issued for Northern Ireland which begins at 12am on Saturday and ends at 12pm the same day. Met Office spokesperson Nicola Maxey said that 20-30mm of rain in the area is likely while the weather warning is in place.
