Concerns about the fast-spreading Delta variant are prompting more U.S. employers to impose vaccine mandates on their workforces, according to a new survey

Those numbers are up from a similar Mercer survey conducted in May, when fewer than 1% of employers said they would require vaccines and 8% said they would even consider a mandate. More companies are likely to require employees to be vaccinated once the U.S. Food and Drug Administration moves a Covid-19 vaccine from emergency authorization to full approval, says Mary Kay O'Neill, a partner in Mercer’s health business.
