The Montgomery County Animal Shelter is waving its adoption fees in hopes of finding homes for hundreds of animals after the recent seizure of more than 148 dogs and cats.
Shelter Director Aaron Johnson said the shelter is waving adoption fees through April 23 to help with the overcrowding. The shelter now has 526 dogs for adoption or fostering.
Finding homes for the available animals is critical as the shelter cares for the seized dogs and cats, Johnson said.
