A group of about 170 delegates are travelling from Saskatchewan to Alberta on Sunday, ahead of Pope Francis\u0027 arrival in Canada.

The delegates will travel west this weekend, according to the Archdiocese of Regina. The group includes Mêtis representatives and people from 10 different First Nations in southern Saskatchewan, said Lisa Polk, director of pastoral services. “We’ve talked about how this is an event that should take more than a year of planning and we’re doing it in eight weeks,” Polk said Thursday. “So, we’re right up to the last minute in planning details.”
