During a special Missouri City Council meeting, elected officials approved a salary increase for employees of Missouri City. Mayor Robin Elackatt thanked officials for carrying out a study that provided information showcasing the need for pay increases.

Said City Manager Angel Jones,"With the steady growth in population and the increasing number of businesses moving into our community, we knew that steps needed to be taken to guarantee we could hire and retain the best-qualified professionals to serve Missouri City."
