Mississippi State women's basketball forward Jessika Carter was named to Preseason All-SEC Second Team honors, the conference announced this week.
Carter, a senior from Waverly Hill, GA, enters her final season after a successful junior campaign, averaging 14.8 points along with 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists, while shooting 57.0% from the field during the 2022-23 season. Carter was named to Second Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors for her performance last season. She was arguably the most productive player on the Bulldogs roster and her return for what might be her last season greatly boosts their offense.
