AUSTIN, Texas – A body found at a home near Houston has been confirmed to be missing Austin mother Heidi Broussard, who disappeared earlier this month with her infant daughter. Police believe the girl has been found alive and safe.which has captured national attention. Broussard's body was identified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Broussard, 33, and her infant daughter Margot Carey, who is now 3 weeks old, were last seen on Dec. 12. The body of an adult woman, now identified as Broussard, and a healthy baby girl were discovered at a home in the northwest Houston area on Thursday.Police said a woman was arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of tampering with a corpse.
