is investigating a murder after a missing person’s body was found during a search two days after he was reported missing.According to officials, at 5 p.m. on Thursday detectives arrived at 500 Tanglewood Drive in Dickinson to investigate the disappearance of DeMarcus Trinell George, 29.His family was notified after he was found, according to a news release.While at the scene, detectives found his body near Borden’s Gully, a neighborhood in Dickinson, officials said.
“We found him on June 1,” said Detective Lupe Vasquez. “The autopsy was conducted on the second and that’s when they found out he had suffered from a gunshot wound. So that’s when they contacted us and it turned into a homicide investigation.” Anyone with information can contact the Dickinson Police Department at 337-4700 ext. 1, or can call Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 763-8477.
