Missing aristocrat Constance Marten and her partner Mark Gordon are in police custody after being arrested in Brighton, police said.
Officers are searching a large area between Brighton and Newhaven, where the Ms Marten and Gordon were spotted a few days ago.Residents in the area are being asked to check their outhouses and report anything unusual. The couple appeared to have made efforts to avoid detection by covering their faces or looking away when captured on CCTV cameras
Earlier this month Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford said: “We know that the baby was still alive on 8 January.”
