Will it really happen?
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary A vision experienced by Min in The Wheel of Time season 2 breaks with Robert Jordan’s story in a huge way. In one season alone, Amazon’s TV adaptation of the beloved series of fantasy novels took more than a few liberties with the source material, altering character introductions, arcs, and some important concepts. Now, season 2 is setting up what could very well become its biggest change yet.
What Min’s Vision Means For The Wheel Of Time’s Story One of the most surprising moments from The Wheel of Time season 2’s first three episodes came when Min Farshaw saw a vision of Mat Cauthon seemingly murdering Rand al’Thor with the ruby-hilted dagger. Some of the “viewings” of the future she saw in season 1, like what Min saw of Egwene and Perrin, can be clearly linked to the books, but the same can’t be said for her vision of Rand and Mat in season 2.
Wheel Of Time Is Already Changing How Min’s Visions Work Preventing a viewing from coming true would break the rules, but it looks like The Wheel of Time is already changing how they work. In the books, Min’s viewings are often quite cryptic, given that what she typically sees are images that have to be deciphered. Case in point is Min seeing “a wolf” when she looked at Perrin, which foreshadowed his transformation into a Wolfbrother.
Why Would Mat Try To Kill Rand In The Wheel Of Time? As for why the promised scenario of Mat killing Rand would happen at all, the show seems to be signaling Mat’s reaction to the reveal that Rand is the Dragon Reborn. When Mat was afraid that he could channel, he made a deal with Rand that if one of them found out they can channel, the other would kill him to stop him from becoming like Logain.

Building Your Company’s VisionCompanies that enjoy enduring success have a core purpose and core values that remain fixed while their strategies and practices endlessly adapt to a changing world. The rare ability to balance continuity and change–requiring a consciously practiced discipline–is closely linked to the ability to develop a vision. Vision provides guidance about what to preserve and what to change. A new prescriptive framework adds clarity and rigor to the vague and fuzzy vision concepts at large today. The framework has two principal parts: core ideology and envisioned future. Core ideology combines an organization’s core values and core purpose. It’s the glue that holds a company together as it grows and changes. Core values are an organization’s essential and enduring tenets–the values it would hold even if they became a competitive disadvantage; core purpose is the organization’s fundamental reason for being. The second component of the vision framework is the envisioned future. First, a company must identify bold stretch goals; then it should articulate vivid descriptions of what it will mean to achieve them. Henry Ford set the goal of democratizing the automobile, then told the world, “When I’m through…everyone will have one. The horse will have disappeared from our highways”–an imaginative stretch for the time. Unfortunately, the usual vision statement is fuzzy and inspires only boredom. But managers who master a discovery process to identify core ideology can link their vision statements to the fundamental dynamic that motivates truly visionary companies–that is, the dynamic of preserving the core and stimulating progress.
