Milly Zero has quit EastEnders after three and half years in the role of Dotty Cotton, promising an explosive ending for her character.
Filming has recently been completed on emotional scenes that will lay to rest Dotty’s gran Dot, following the real life death ofWith Milly having already shot her own last scenes, it is likely her departure will tie in with this.
‘After three and a half years, I have decided my journey with the icon that is Dotty Cotton has come to an end,’ the actress said in a statement on Instagram. ‘I can’t tell you how life changing and incredible my time at EastEnders has been, and how much I am going to miss it, but I am ready for new challenges now.
‘Thank you to everyone that made it so special, I have made friends for life, learnt huge amounts and made memories to last a lifetime.EastEnders did not have a comment to make when approached by Metro.co.uk.
