By breaking with Trump in what could be a key battle in the GOP presidential primary fight, Pence may already be hindering his White House ambitions.
Adam Vaccaro, communications manager at non-profit Ceres, added:"So if he runs, Pence will have positioned himself to enter a GOP primary inherently in conflict with Trump, and then enter a general [election] as intensely anti-abortion with some of this sprinkled on top? Just seems like a gauntlet, is all."
