They enter the fray late, after the older siblings have done all the ground work, created the original content before being cast aside for the new kid on the block. Now, of course this is an extremely generalised sweeping notion, but there is some truth in it.

Incidentally, Mandarin managed to effortlessly execute that odd balance between 'we are fully booked and on a strict schedule but don't want to rush people' by subtly moving things along, asking us if we wanted a short break between each course to let the food settle or just dive right into the next. We chose the latter, which I'm sure they were thankful for as they were heaving without a table spare for the duration of our visit.
Then in a flash, the main dishes arrived, filling up every available space on the table . The king prawns certainly announced their entrance, sizzling and spitting on the hotplate while the garlic aroma danced around in the air like a Chinese Dragon. "Oooh, you've done really well there" our server declared as she collected our near-empty main plates. Something tells me she's seen much poorer efforts in her time. But food waste is not on our radar. The lemon sorbet was pleasant and refreshing end to your meal.
