As Mexico's government cracks down on endemic fuel theft, thieves stole about 4,000 barrels a day last month—way down from an average of 56,000 a day last year

During the first three weeks in April, fuel theft fell to just 4,000 barrels a day, compared with an average of 56,000 barrels a day in 2018, according to Pemex, as the state company is known. Since late December, when the newly installed government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
