A vehicle was struck by an inbound Metra Rock Island train Tuesday morning near Midlothian.
Metra Alert RI - Rock Island Mainline Track 2 has been released. Train #400 passengers will board train #402. Train #402 may be delayed up to 20 minutes - Vehicle Struck by TrainMetra said train No. 400 was stopped and has been released. Passengers on the train will board train No. 402 with delays expected. Metra officials confirmed one person was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Officials could not confirm if any injuries were reported.
