Facebook is shutting down its 'Paid Online Events' program that let creators and businesses earn money

According to Meta's business help center, onboarding for the program has already ended and the product will be discontinued by June. The final day to host an online event on Facebook and earn from this program is May 8. Facebook announced its Paid Online Events initiative in August 2020 while the COVID-19 pandemic was raging. At the time, livestreaming was booming as people adapted to stay-at-home orders.
