It means there must be three days of plus 25C temperatures for a heatwave to officially be declared by the Met Office. “Although the highest temperatures are likely to be in the south and east of England, these areas also have higher temperature thresholds for heatwave conditions to be declared.
The forecast for September 7 through to September 16 reads: "The period starts with another fine and sunny day for most, following the clearing of early mist or fog.
