Mesa police say the four children who were taken by their non-custodial father were found in El Paso, Texas Wednesday.
At about 11 a.m. Sunday, Dequan , Tatiana , Lashaun and Devon Washington were taken by their non-custodial father, Devon M. Washington, according to the Mesa Police Department. Authorities say Washington had a supervised visit with the four children and had not returned them to the custody of the Department of Child Safety.
Officials say a contracted chaperone called the Mesa Police Department saying the children had got into a white Toyota RAV4 with Washington and left.The vehicle, Washington, and the four children were found at an El Paso fast-food restaurant. The children were unharmed, according to officials. Washington was taken into custody and was booked on his warrant.Washington will be extradited back to Arizona where he will face four counts of child abduction from a state agency.
