INEOS founder and part-owner of Mercedes F1 Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to buy a minority stake in Manchester United in the coming weeks
Mercedes F1 chief Toto Wolff is in no doubt Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be a positive addition to Manchester United if and when he buys a minority stake in the club.
With Sheikh Jassim no longer in the running, it is widely expected Ratcliffe will complete a purchase of a 25 per cent stake in United. This news has been received with scepticism by some supporters who are unsure how much power he will yield and are concerned about the Glazers remaining at Old Trafford longer.READ MORE: Souness outlines Ratcliffe's first task
In a press conference on Friday, the British billionaire's co-owner at Mercedes Wolff was asked about Ratcliffe and what United fans can expect from him. He replied via Sky Sports: "Jim and his partners Andy and John they are first of all very complimentary and this is a noted organisation.
