Mercedes-Benz expands its EQB series with the 250 version.
Mercedes-Benz is already marketing several electric vehicles in Canada, all under the EQ banner. One of them is the EQB 350 SUV, which is supposed to be the electric equivalent of the GLB.
The compromise buyers will have to make with this vehicle is to forget about all-wheel drive, as only the front wheels are powered. The absence of a second electric motor will also have an impact on performance, this time limited to 188 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque, as opposed to 288 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque for the 350 variant.
As for the standard equipment that will be delivered with this entry-level version, it will still be generous with 18-inch wheels, an instrument cluster with digital display on a screen that also extends to the multimedia system and its MBUX interface, a multifunction steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, steering-wheel paddles for simulated gear changes, a power tailgate, front seats with eight-way power adjustment and three memory positions, as well as a host of safety features.
